Can anyone tell me about what I should be looking for in a Robert Plant, John Paul Jones and Jimmy Page auto.  I have the opportunity to buy a piece with Plant and I believe it to be Pages signatures.  I have no photo.

Unfortunately Erich, this is one of those times when you really have to have a picture to be sure. I certainly would never even consider purchasing an item if you havent seen it or if you dont have a picture of it in your possession to study. I would make sure the seller sends you a pic of it before you purchase. Their are some amazing guys on here who know Zepp like the back of their hand and can tell you pretty quick if its good or not. I cant stress enough how important that is. In this game dont listen to any IP story (even from a friend or trusted source), and dont pay any attention to COAs or guarantees. Get the best opinions you can before purchasing. And if you want to be 100 percent on if its good or not, then ask Roger Epperson. He will give you a quick opinion for 15 dollars, but you will have to send him a pic. Their is no one better at Zepp in the world. Roger is considered the best their is in music and if he says good then it is good.

I hope this helps, and hopefully the seller will give you a pic that you can show us. If he wont then dont even consider it. Zepp forgeries are anywhere and everywhere.

I will see what I can do about a pic then.  Maybe tomorrow.  It is in a shop.

Here are those Plant and Page pics.

I´m not a Zep expert, but these don´t look very promising to me.

I just am not familiar with these two autos.  I have no Idea.

Sorry, Erich. I don't believe these are authentic. Neither one is close to an authentic signature.

Thanks for your input.  I have been comparing to other known plant autos and I think your right.  Doesnt look right.  Thanks

No problem, Erich. Here are authentic examples of both Plant & Page from my collection to compare them with. Hope this helps.

These are not genuine autographs from Robert Plant or Jimmy Page. If you would like to see some real ones, you can look on my home page.

Hi Erich,

I have to say that i agree with the other commentors. These dont look like genuine autographs. They certainly arent the worst ive ever seen, but the Page gives it away for me. Im more familiar with him than Plant, and the formation is off.

Sorry for the bad news, but im sure youll find a good one soon

Carl

Thanks everyone.  I sure like this site.  Lots of insight.  Awesome.
