That's obviously a big ticket dealer retail price/insurance replacement value. If you could get half that after commission and fees you'd be doing well. Still better than a slap in the face with a wet (or even shaved) fish of course - and I would very much like to have it (the photo, not the fish).

I was thinking the same thing Pug,that price is total retail.I wod say half or a little more than half is more like it.definitely still better than getting slapped with a wt fish.lol!

"It's a £6000 piece", yet their offer would only be approx. £1000.  That's not a bad mark-up, maybe it's a particularly rare picture:

I had to checkle at your post Nate. The word "piece" always comes into play when big bucks are being asked.

This picture actually sold at rr auctions for around 7k
Hi Nate, that's why selling to a dealer is a no no.I've been looking for this picture on the Internet and I just can't seem to find it at all.i guess the pic is rare.
I really like the photo, even one with yoko signed by hedself would be nice.

I don't think the photo makes any real difference to the value in this case. Obviously "eye appeal" does affect value/saleability and this is a cool image but when all is said and done it is a press publicity photo that would have been produced in many hundreds, if not thousands.  A signed and stamped limited edition Avedon/Gruen etc. would obviously be a different story.

If I had over six grand to chuck Tracks' way I'd rather go for their signed Wedding Album (£6,500). Image attached (copyright Tracks I guess).

I was looking at that piece last night.very cool
Ive purchased of tracks and i find them very professional compared to some of these dealers that are more of a headache than good.

Tracks is very good -- but in my opinion they sell at prices that most times top auction houses final prices.
