Starting this separate thread to track the potential Liza Minnelli autopen situation.

It appears that signed copies of her new book, Kids Wait Till You Hear This!, may include autopen signatures.

I’m working to update this thread with the information to date, but for now, please see the existing Liza Minnelli thread for more information.

Feel free to post your examples or any info on the return situation.

Overlay Video 1

Note how “Liza” matches up

Overlay Video 2

-First round, note how the “Love” appears to overlay nearly exactly

-Second round, the circle of the smiley face appears to overlap closely, and the L is starting to line up as well

-Third round, the Z and the A in “Liza” appear to lineup closely.

Overlay Video 3

Notice how almost all of the smiley face lines up on this one

-With a slight adjustment, notice how the Z and the A start to align as well

That Z looks very strange. What's going on with the flow?

Yeah I thought it was odd compared to others I've seen.

Same on the first L- looks like it came slightly out of line

It seems to be a straight line, like a printer head being out of alignment

There is something else going on here. I'm not sure a marker can make marks like that at the same vertical levels. I wish I had one of these in hand to examine the ink. Could these have been printed? Can someone post pictures of the back of the page as well? I'll look for one on the other thread. I remember seeing one somewhere

Here’s mine

Thanks, that helps. The flow for 75%(ish) looks like an exact steady flow. If it was somehow printed, I'd be fooled . For a marker, that even pressure throughout loops definitely isn't natural. For now, sticking to autopen machine, but how could those horizontal lines have been made at specific vertical levels?

Mine

Thanks Lumpy, if it's printed, I'm fooled. Looks very much like a marker to me so far but how can we explain the shift in pen flow at the same vertical levels like an alignment issue?

Yeah, that’s weird. You can’t see evidence of anything happening from the backside…. just looks like a continuous line

I posted more about this in the wrong thread this morning, whoops, but thanks to lumpy for uploading new pictures, this seems to be nothing more than a camera software clutch. Posted on the page at the link below. I'm glad it was posted over there now so it didnt cause any conflicts here. Focus should continue to be with autopen use and how it has evolved and Matt M.'s tireless effort involved which will help us spot others like this in the future.

Thanks, I appreciate it. I’ll try to add this into my collection of examples for overlays.
