I'm not too familiar with Chaney (senior, I guess?), but the ink looks astonishingly fresh for someone who died in 1930.

I'm not quite convinced this is an authentic Chaney Jr. in the original post. That one seems very carefully executed by someone who knows his signature and is getting the fundamentals right....but not quite natural.

Righto...All three of those are good, descriptive words for the original image on this post.
It certainly appears "off".... and even more so looking closely at it. I'd take a pass on it.
The baseline is also atypical. Pass here as well.
Yep... And aside from the rather florid letters "L", "C" and "y", all of the others letters look so scrunched...and "dainty".
