I would want to know if that is a printed photo PC or a RPPC.
Cory, In my humble opinion my war date and my exemplar library date this late war or after…..I doubt this is a !941 Wolfman autograph due to the fact he did not add Jr. to his name. The latest Jr. autograph in my library sold for $1000. Your autograph looks like the one I posted about a month ago, except for the Jr.. As Eric stated, size does matter when it comes to value at this level.
Size of course, but I was asking if it was a paper printed image post card or a glossy real photo postcard.
Eric, I thought if I could get the size issue in before Cory answered he would answer two birds with one stone. No foul implied.
No problem David. From the relative size of the image and signature it appears a postcard size.
I was looking up the text on the Reverse and ran into the auction - you paid 3K? Wow! What does this sort of thing bring when it's not from PPC?
I didn't buy it, they want 2600 for it. I just thought that seems too high, but
Don't really know what signed wolfman photos usually sell for
Hi Cory-
Here's a 40's signed 8" x 10" as the Wolfman that sold at Hake's for $1900 in 2007:

Regarding the one you posted...I have seen other examples of the smaller one that you are looking at. In fact, I had one years ago that I eventually traded with another collector. That's a pulpy cardstock paper it is printed on. These were given out at live appearances that Lon Chaney made in the early 60's, if I recall correctly. It was kind of a live travelling spook / horror show that he was the headliner of. The blank border on the bottom was printed that way so that he could autograph them at the live appearances.
My memory is not always the best but I believe that I paid about $600 for the one I had which only had his name signed without the "Thanks" added. That was probably about ten years ago, though. Wish I still had it.
Was the signature you sold on a photo or an album page?
