We moved to Great Britain in 1964 (I was 13), Langdale, Cavendish Rd., St George's Hill, Weybridge, Surrey, GB. My dad Mr. Lenehan was VP of Rockwell International. I believe we paid $44k for the house and sold it in summer of 1969 (I was 17) when we moved back to Dallas, Texas for $65k. John and Cynthia gave my parents (dad is deceased but mom is still alive at 89) the White Album autographed; and a beautiful american teenager seduced me for the ablum outside Lennon's Kenwood Mansion. But I was never able to get another autographed album. Well, 18 year old boys are not that smart when it comes to choosing between a girl and a famous record. I went off to Vietnam was front-line infrantry and somehow survived (thank God). I have found the missing White Album on this web-site; but then the tracks go cold after it states Rockin Gem listed it for sale at $4,995. I read it was suspected a fake and of not much value.

That is the mental image I remember of the White Album, with John's cartoon in the upper right corner. If that's a forgery then the real one is floating around or destroyed. If there are no other copies, then it is either a forgery or the real thing. I will still consider buying the forgery for $5k, if that is what the buyer paid and you know the buyer. As an engineer my signature changes day-to-day, week to week; so I don't know how these signature experts can tell the difference. I think it is their hocus-pocus. I remember John told my mom, Ann Lenehan it took him several weeks to get everyone's signature on the album because they were all traveling about.
Have you heard of Houston's Fab5? http://thefab5.net/. One of their member's tracked me down 4 years ago, Joe Baiardi who is a Beatle fan and gave me a copy of an auctioned phone book of Cynthia Lennon. I think the best way to tell if the signatures are forged is to ask Paul, Ringo and Cynthia if they remember signing the album and if that is their signature.
Otherwise I am still looking for the owner of this forged album, if he has the paper work on it I will consider buying it.
This statement is total false:
One of the more common and easiest to detect characteristics of the ones called Southern California forgeries can be found in John Lennon's autograph. John Lennon didn't start drawing his smiling face caricature until about 1971, but many of the Southern California examples have it, often with the inscription "With love" or "With love from." But if you're not a pro, don't try to authenticate Beatles or any expensive autographs yourself. It's worth the money to have them checked out by a respected music authenticator.
I remember my mom commenting on John's cartoon and he chuckled at the fron door when he handed her the White Album.
Since I lived next to the man that signed our White album, and his wife is still alive and reasonable certain I can arrange to contact her and inquire if that is the Beatles signatures and get a yea or nay. Is Brian Waring the buyer of the White Album with four signatures?
there is no doubt that the autographs in the photo below are forgeries. these were produced in large quantities, and the signatures are virtually identical in each case. I am sure your album does not look like this.
Engineering is an exact science, hand-writing is not. -1+1=0 (always); hand-writing changes and the cartoon was there in 1968. Forgery experts do not use exact science and some facts are a muck. I'm sure there are forgerie. If Cynthia Lennon can state John used a smiling face, then many experts can be sued by Brian Waring who said his autographs were false. We're going to GB next year for vacation and we can take the White Album to inquire with Cynthia. So where is the album. If there are many forgeries it should be easy to find one.
This might be the best thread we've ever had.
The southern california forgers strike again...
