Looking for some opinions on my 1956 signed Copy of Profiles In Courage.

Hello,

I purchasesd this signed copy of Profiles In Courage a few years back, and it was addressed to a local Rhode Island politician, Mayor Coleman of Woonsocket, RI. What are your opinions of the signature?

Thanks in advance.

It appears unusually neat and carefully applied, but Kennedy is not a signature I am highly familiar with.

Send a private message to John Reznikoff for a definitive answer.

I had the same thought as Zipper.  I do not believe Kennedy's handwriting was ever this neat.

I don't have the Charles Hamilton book in front of me, but I am sure it is secretarial (I have a 1960 election Chicago polling report signed by the same secretary).  Still a nice item, though.

Here's a real one from Senator Kennedy in January 1953. If anything, Kennedy's writing got worse with the years, not better. His secretaries are infamous for the signatures of their boss that they offered up. One really needs to be careful. If you read "Anything that can be done on this will be appreciated" congratulations - you passed Hieroglyphics 1001.
