without looking at the Autograph (i haven't studied Gehrig's), the paper it is signed on is awfully white.  But again, I haven't looked at too many of his signatures, so I can't make a judgement.  There are others here who can help.

It's not authentic, IMO. The "rig" part, for one thing, is highly suspect.

I agree. Could have been signed by his wife. Her signature was fairly close to his and she did sign through the mail for him especially after he contracted the disease named for him.

Great information, Randy. I did not know about his wife signing TTM for him. As a side note, I'll never forget the brief conversation about Lou Gehrig that I had several years ago with an 18yo girl that I worked with at the time. It went something like this. She asked, "Ya...so Lou Gehrig was really that great a baseball player?" My reply: "No doubt. He was amazing. Just look at his stats." Her reply: "Now what did he die of?" My reply, after a long pause: "Um...Lou Gehrig's disease." Her reply, after extended laughter: "Oh, ya. OMG! I have blonde hair." Nice recovery. Ha, ha.
