without looking at the Autograph (i haven't studied Gehrig's), the paper it is signed on is awfully white. But again, I haven't looked at too many of his signatures, so I can't make a judgement. There are others here who can help.
I agree. Could have been signed by his wife. Her signature was fairly close to his and she did sign through the mail for him especially after he contracted the disease named for him.
