I am hoping someone here can help me out. I have this signed photo and have been searching to figure out which concert tour or era this picture was taken. Any clues would be most appreciated.

Yes that is real......she signed a 1000 + of them....and the first ones had here full name complete...of course later ones had this short version due to tiredness I am guessing....the box set with the signed letter  were on amazon in the end for $30 + ahipping

Only $30???? Wow

yes clear out price!!!!!

Thank you Kamran. Now I can't find anything authentic for less than $400. C'est la vie!

Fran....unfortunately we are talking about a modern day icon here....and she is a very tight signer too....but for a classic signature from the 80's/ early 90's on a good photograph you are talking around $300/$400...if all the fakes were to disappear overnight..and you were left only with ORIGINALS...prices would be way higher.....the secondary market in fakes out numbering the originals is actually keeping the real prices down to a degree if I am honest

Yeah I see. It's also happening with Freddie Mercury.
I have found this one for $200 on Amazon. I think I'll get it

She's such a tight signer that she signed 7 just for you..at her house!

Interesting conversation! So, from what I understand, there is disagreement that the Madonna photo that started this discussion may not be authentic. I do not take anyone's opinion lightly. I seek the truth. Opinions matter. My plan was to submit this to Roger Epperson once I have it in hand. I am not, nor ever try to pretend, I am an authenticator. When it comes to music autographs Roger is the best referee available(in my opinion). He gets the final word.

I appreciate those who warn of possible problems on this site. I always appreciate those who make a stand even when it goes against the grain. The hobby is better when it is debated by those who truly care.

Thank-you.

I use Roger all the time. I think he's stronger on some artists than others. My guess is you're going to get a no, but don't take my word for it. Madonna is all over the place and the problem with the self proclaimed experts is that they get stuck in one certain style. You can see that in the other thread.

I hope your prediction is not correct on my Madonna. But, when necessary, a third party who is qualified must help render a final determination. I don't take a verdict personally. It's a challenging hobby but that's what makes it interesting as well. I'd rather find out early if there is a problem than late. Even the best can make an occasional mistake. No matter how many years I've been studying signatures I will always be a student.

Please know Im not giving you an opinion. Im giving you my prediction on what Roger will say.
