60 years hasn’t slowed her down.  With her latest studio album release (it dropped June 14th), Madonna has her 9th No. 1 album on the Billboard Hot 200.  She’s 60 years-old, and she is still the No. 1 female artist in the world.  That’s why they call her the Queen of Pop!

Feel free to share your Madonna autographs with other members on AML.

I’ve recently watched a few more recent Madonna videos on YouTube, either recent music videos or recent interviews.  Now obviously Madonna still has millions of loyal fans worldwide.  Her latest album wouldn’t have hit No. 1 otherwise.  However, she also gets a lot of hate as well in the comment sections.  And much of the hate revolves around her age.  Although I’m also certain that Madonna has many, many younger fans, I find it very hypocritical that some are criticizing her for making music and music videos at her age.  Seriously?!  For a younger generation that supposedly prides itself for open-mindedness and being gay-accepting and race-accepting and overall lifestyle-accepting, being anti-age discrimination is not something they can necessarily pride themselves on.

It’s sometimes kind of like...if you’re gay, we love you.  If you’re any kind of minority we love you.  If you’re disabled, we love you.  If you’re trying to immigrate to America or Europe in any manner, lawful, or otherwise, we love you.  But if you’re over 50, some might say...don’t make music..because we proudly discriminate on the basis of age!

Well...age discrimination is just as bad as any other type of discrimination.  And if you discriminate based on age, you’re not open-minded; you’re a bigot!

And btw, I’m against discrimination in all its forms.  Although I am prejudiced against serial killers, I must admit.  Otherwise, as Madonna says, get up, dance, and do your thing.

Regarding what music younger people listen to, I saw my 10-year-old niece today and asked her what music she liked to listen to the most.

Her response: Queen!  I said...oh I like them too.

Then I wondered if maybe it was because she was moved by the movie Bohemian Rhapsody.  But she said no, she hadn’t seen the movie, but she just really liked their songs.

I thought...well now, I like the way you think, girl!!

Madonna and Bruce Springsteen -- both have the top 2 albums. Uh...is it 1984 all over again? And at the movies, it's this:

Lol.  That’s funny, Josh!  Alright, the Boss is back, Madonna’s back.  Just put me in a time machne and set it for 1984...or 1994.  Either one will do.  Preferably 1984 though.  Bob Dylan said, “The times they are a changin’.”  Well now I’m not so sure.

with all due respect  Vanilla Ice  can enter the chart at number one if he wanted to since they charge the charts in the 90s.its a joke

people can actualy enter number with selling under 100k worth of cds . the charts are a joke u can be top 10 on the charts with a few thousands cds sold

Yeah, I think it’s much easier to have a No. 1 album than to actually have a Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 single.

Ive noticed they say quite often that an album debuted at No. 1.  However, individual songs don’t debut at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.  They have to rise over a number of weeks until, if an artist is fortunate enough, the song hits No. 1.  But they don’t debut at No. 1.

Considering that digital media has taken over, that's hardly a surprise.

Let it be known that I’m a big Madonna fan, but I do need to ask one favor from the Queen of Pop.  Please lay off the plastic surgery.  It almost always backfires.  Allow yourself to age gracefully.  It happens to everyone.  Your music will always keep you at the top and in the hearts of your millions of fans.  Your music and videos from back in the day will always be in our minds when we think of you.  So no Botox or tucks are needed.  Just play your music and dance!
