So I'm very new at autograph collecting, and I'm getting a bit overwhelmed.    I obtained Julio Jones' autograph last year in person, so I am 100% certain it is legit.     This year I was going to attend Fan Day at the university and get Mark Ingram's autograph, but his grandfather died and so he wasn't in attendance.

This started my search to purchase an Ingram autograph, but the more I dig the more I'm confused and afraid to make a purchase.     eBay is full of GAI certified items, but I read that people are openly critical or skeptical of their legitimacy.       I have seen one or two PSA/DNA authenticated items, but do not know a lot about them.

The Ingram autographs out there are all over the board in terms of price, the way the signature looks, etc.     None of the sellers are really able to offer a picture of him signing the item.      Just when I think I'm getting comfortable with buying a particular one, something makes me pause and second guess.

I am unlikely to personally run into Mark Ingram any time soon, and I would like to put his autograph on the shelf next to my Julio autograph, but this is harder and more overwhelming than I thought it was going to be.

Can anyone help?
