Michael Jackson drawings (Miscell inc. 'Historic portraits' and 'Disney characters')

I'm noticing a sudden influx of MJ signed Michael Jackson drawings coming on to the auction market, which seem to share the common themes of either 'portraits of historical figures' or 'Disney characters'.

Both of these themes are of course recognised from Michaels' drawings both at a young age and later in life, but it is interesting that so many new drawings are being released on to the market at the same time.

This thread is primarily about fake MJ drawings, but from time to time other MJ collectables of interest are referred to.

I am including the following ebay listing for an 'MJ Fedora' (asking $3995) because it has an unusual provenance; the accompanying photos show a card listing this and two other black fedoras as 'from the Estate of' Richard Fossaas.....

Simon Parr (owner of Kristen Leigh Auctions) is apparently continuing to off-load his fake 'MJ signed' items via Featonby's auctioneers of North Shields in the UK, who sell online through 'The Saleroom' platform (bids from £300). The 'Heritage' auctions paperwork is not shown clearly. This item was however offered (unframed) on Lot-Art by Kristen Leigh back in Feb 2018, for £1k-£1500. :

It's curious about the accompanying 'Heritage' paperwork for the pillowcase above. Looking back at Heritage auctions, this pillowcase is not among the previously sold items. I wonder if Heritage reviewed it and refused to sell it? Or maybe the paperwork relates to other 'similar' items (eg a pillow or a tee) which may have come from the same source?

Or maybe he just faked a Heritage sheet. Remember he once took an artists work (drawings of Michael Jackson) and bought them, then cut off the artists signature and signed it MJ. Parr's a pos.

UK seller collectorheaven20 now trying out 'MJ notes'. With 8 competing bidders, this one sold for £142, which just goes to show that folk don't believe what they read. (The note says 'Don't believe the hype'!!)
