On December 2, Julien's Auctions is selling The Collection of Tompkins and Bush. The collection contains 465 lots of Michael Jackson memorabilia, 287 of them autographed.

Michael Bush and the late Dennis Tompkins were Michael Jackson's costume designers for 25 years, during Jackson's most successful period. They were the consignors of the signed Thriller jacket that Julien's sold for $1,800,000 in June 2011.

Almost all of the autographs in the Tompkins and Bush sale are a variation I'm not familiar with. I've only been looking at Jackson's autograph for a few years, though, and we have members here who have collected him for decades, so I'd appreciate your input and exemplars.

If you know Michael Jackson's autograph well, please look at a few images below from the auction and let me know what you think. Even better, browse the auction and upload any similar examples you have: http://www.julienslive.com/view-auctions/catalog/id/77/

Julien's is the world's premier auction house for Michael Jackson memorabilia, so they would know his autograph better than most of us. I'm just surprised I haven't seen this style before.

Thanks for your help.

If MLB would have have copied that signature, we would not be having this conversation because we would have been none the wiser. Because he used his own signature to copy MJ, he fkd up and here we are.

Here is a closer look, you know what guys, it seems this is the one Bush attempted to copy from in his mass production, His MASTER notice the j, and N

Too bad he sucked at it and now all the signatures look like Michael Bush' s fake MJ signature because he forgot to change it up for his book signings!  Jail time is appropriate for this scheme to defraud while defacing.

This is the one I thought was real earlier in our discussion.  I said I thought he put one lone authentic signature in amongst his criminal chicken scratch.  This is also the one he conveniently showcased in his exploitative traveling road show "exhibit".

Really thought they could prop up one real sig and the rest would fly. Fools. Frauds.

Here you go people…..UP ABOVE, One of Dennis and Michael Bush sketches of a REAL/AUTHENTIC Michael Jackson autograph. No that crap he is selling to "Juliens Auction". I'm sure he either kept the REAl signatures for himself or friends or he sold them along time ago.

You are right John about that autograph being authentic. Exact similar signature style to the autograph I posted in the upcoming auction. The signed picture you have posted is seen in the THIS IS IT movie, right before they go into the footage rehearsal for BEAT IT.

yes and its made out to Dennis and Bush not just Bush. Hmmm

If you see that photo close up in MLB's book (he showed it to me last week at his book signing) you will see that the hand that wrote it was very shaky though.

Maybe it's a trace.

Yes exactly you can see the one in the movie as well. I'm sure Bush kept those in his collection. lol

"Am I the only one who thinks this auction is a fraud and a scam?"

Ah, NOPE!
