Here's an example of Mickey Mantle forgery on a bat.

This is one horrific forgery.

This putrid Mickey Mantle forgery on a bat is listed by Ebay seller Troprice94.

Ebay seller Troprice94 writes "Guaranteed to pass PSA/DNA or JSA."  Seriously!!!

YIKES

I'm the seller of this bat..... I bought this bat from an estate sale a couple months back. I do a little bit of baseball collecting myself and thought the autograph looked pretty good to me. I wanted to sell it because I already have a Mickey Mantle signed baseball. Why do you all think that this one is a forgery? The only thing that looks slightly off is the 'M' in Mantle doesn't quite come down all the way. I know the COA looks cheap but I just put that up with it because it came with the bat when I purchased it. I am currently getting a PSA Online Analysis done, so I will let you all know the results in 24-48 hours. I want you all to know that it was not my intention to rip anybody off.

Joe, the pointed M's would be an obvious flag.  but if you compare this when any PSA or JSA authenticated Mantles currently on ebay, you should see a drastic difference.  Even taking into account the signing surface, this one is really way off.  I would beware of estate sales in the future, they are well known for being infested with forgeries.

save your 8 bucks. it's as putrid as phoney, putrid, smelling ,dunglike forgery...That's my ANALYSIS

I see. I also bought this 500 HR Club baseball from the same sale. Would any of you mind taking a look at it and giving me your opinion on whether it appears authentic or not?

sorry Joe, that that ball has been in circulation and thousands like it. it is a well known forgery, as evidenced by the "banana M" Mantle, the Schmidt is really bad, and to even the novice collector, the first thing to look for would be the Killebrew.  Harmon always wrote his name so you could read it. not this mess that you see here and on all of the forgeries like this.

The "500 Homerun Club" signed baseball is another mess of forgeries.

be happy to help you....what do you think? Do you think you could buy that for a few hundred and sell it for 2K? not to be mean but you need a reality check. I don't know if you ever had a father kick the crap out of you, but I would guess you were raised by a single mother.

This is a forgery and you need to stop buying this stuff and especially stop selling these horrible forgeries and asking the world for them. If real,  in perfect condition, the same 5oohr lub would sell for less than 1000.00...That's a real one. Help me understand quiz kid why a fake one is worth 2,000.00.

seriously though, I know you want to believe it's real, but it's not. I want to believe that Santa Claus is coming to town December 25th, but he's not.

My best advice is to take that crap back to the estate sale that sold it to you or go right down to the police station to make a complaint.

The majority of people who buy this garbage are only looking to flip it for a profit.

They know ZERO about autographs and are not true autograph collectors.

The Mantle on he ball is a forgery.

Thank you for the help everyone. I guess I got burned. I'm taking the items off of eBay now. Christopher can you delete this post so that my eBay account can remain credible? It was never my intention to sell forgeries.

Fuddjcal- no need to be an a******

No, Joe, this forum stays.
