I would personally open a case on the seller if I were you. Ebay tends to take care of the buyer as it is smart business on EBay's behalf to do so. I think you would get the result you want in a full refund, even that the timeline has been so long.

I'm grateful for all the help and opine's I've gotten from the folks on this site, I often find great reads and info that helps me, we have an expensive hobby and it's always great to know the Autograph we're spending our hard earned money on is the real deal! The more you read and research, the more you see the difference between the forgery's and genuine Signatures.

There must be some confusion as I only purchased the "Fakes" yesterday on eBay . I believe someone thought I was the person that was referred to in last years article by Christopher . I've only learned of this website as of yesterday . *** Just received a email from seller cursing me out & threatening law suit . Accusing me of buyers remorse. He wants to know where I received my false information & insists that it's a real Mickey Mantle...lol

Not like the seller has any money to sue you anyway, he is just bluffing. Particularly when he selling fakes.  Open a case ASAP.

What type of case are you guys referring to? I spoke with EBay & they said they are opening a case. I certainly can't imagine them doing anything to one of their sellers. Not even a gentle slap on the hand ! Please advise me of your thoughts.
Thanks

Look in your purchase history to see if the item has shipped, also check your resolution center to see if ebay did open a case for you. If the item has been shipped, then once you receive it then open a case to return the item for not as decribed ,request a return address. The seller will contact you through the resolution center providing a return address. Make sure your return it with tracking so ebay can see that its been delivered to the seller. Ebay will return your money to you and they will retrieve there money from the seller.

Maureen, please don't be foolish here. Intimidation by this person is all he has to get you to go away. He doesn't have a leg to stand on. He can't sue you, he can't do anything at all. You are holding all the cards and he got caught trying to cheat you. File the complaint in the resolution center, they will put a hold on his account, ask you to return the item, and when returned, they will reimburse you in full. He can't leave you feedback, but you surly can for him. When you return the item, make sure you include delivery confirmation. Ebay may even provide you with a free return label. Please don't be intimidated by these crooks.

Ebay if you open a case, rules in favor of the buyer all the time. It is because they don't want to lose you as buyers.

That's your first clue to the typical knuckleheaded E-bay seller. Think about this...a legitimate seller would not force feed ANY sale down your throat, let alone a pathetic forgery like the one this wad sold you. LOLOLOLOLFor that reason alone I would tell him to pound sand and "OPEN A CASE" (Significantly NOT as described with e-bay IMMEDIATELY!!! E-bay in the end will make it right, despite what this Jack of an A** seller tries to force feed you. Tell e-bay he cussed you out and they will suspend the idiot.

Let me get this straight.  A seller of a autograph sells you a well known forgery. You get buyers remorse because you know you got it at a PRICE THAT IS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE ($53.00) and did some research, albeit after the fact. Then knumbn***, who sold you the forgery tells you to take it or else and HE threatens a law suit. That is Good for today's larger than life Belly laugh!!!! LOLOLOLOLO, The complete loser isn't suing anybody over his obvious fake. You could sue him for being a moron and win easily but why bother. Dumb** is written all over his face.

Follow e-bays procedures and in 10 days it will all be over. Feel free to e-mail me and I'll walk you through it if you need help. Never let a Legal Chimpanzee like this goofball klinger83 , dictate to you. You dictate to that idiot. For future reference...plan on paying $100-200 for legitimate 8 x 10 Mantle signed photo. Good Luck

Thats what I am saying... Maureen if that were real and I was the seller and it went for $53!!! I would be begging you to not want it because I just lost my ass on it..  and would like to put it up for sale again.

On a more positive note, who cares why you do not want it!  You could say you changed your mind and just want another photo that is perfectly fine as long as your in the time frame of the return. Ebay will always side with you on this. Send it back, after you open a case and make sure you get a tracking number. As soon as he signs for it or the tracking number shows it has been delivered you will get your money back.. simple as that.

Just follow the steps and you will be ok and get your money back maureen. Feel free to post pics of any autograph you want to buy on this site. People want to help and enjoy the challenge of figuring out fake or real. Good luck and I like purple pixie sticks and corona.

Hello all.... There is still a lot of confusion regarding my purchase. My fault as originated my post under replays to Rays discussion of Mickey Mantle fake or real.
Just clarify I purchased the " Fall Classic" MM petronella this past Sunday on eBay for $ 100.00 then came to this site & was advised it was a fake. A lot of ppl thought I was the buyer from last year.
Update: I opened a case & the item was not shipped so I got out of the charges & they opened a case on seller.( what a joke)
OK...this is the kicker.~~ I being the trusting person I am didn't even notice the buyers name...you won't believe this one ! It's Jwdilligaf ....OMG seriously ... We all know what that stands for these days. Needless to say I'm extremely embarrassed to not have caught that. Oh ...BTW shop name is Collectable treasures and more !
I'm probably just digging my own hole as I've spent numerous hours contacting ppl he has sold to and messaging them about his forgeries . Just feels like a little bit of payback to let him know that I too can play the dilligaf game.
Thanks again everyone. Looking forward to your response. Mo

Great Maureen! Shouldn't be but a few days and you will have your refund. Keep checking your message's and respond to the case if asked to do so, and also you should receive a message once the you have received the refund and you can then close the case.
