It looks good to me but I would wait for Mr. Williams. He's the #1 Mantle authenticator in the country
I think its good also.
Nope, not good.
Where is that Mantle forgery being sold?
Thanks for looking. It is not being sold.
About 6 months ago my job was altered to take over the sports memorabilia section of the shop I work in. I keep finding items tucked in storage or up on shelves as I clean out. I found this today under some old newspaper clippings, framed and accompanied by a GAI COA. I am a long time celeb collector and never got into sports graphs. Anything I find that I have any issues with I check here first.
20+ years of selling and trading in-person autographs.... there is no way I will let this job tarnish my reputation in the autograph field.
What don't you like about it Chris?
Too stiff.
Both the "Mickey Mantle" and "No 7" were penned very methodically.
This is why I come here. The M I and K of Mickey, and the wobbly 7 were my reasons to check. Yet it seems everythng else was the issue.
Pete, the entire sig is the "issue."
Thanks Chris, I really appreciate you taking the time to look at this and answer.
You're welcome, Pete.
That's what we do here; we try to help.
I notice that too, but I feel there's a chance it could be the result of the pen he was using. I think this may be one of those "squeeze" paint pens (like seen here: http://www.durablesupply.com/sumesqacpama.html) that may require you to actually squeeze while you're writing thus possibly distorting the writing.
