This glove has the PSA/DNA hologram and matching card which is why I bought it, but the sticker seems like it has been taken off and put back on. I have no idea how the stickers react to the gloves so it could be fine, but I just want some opinions on how easily/difficult it is to make these fake holograms and cards from PSA/DNA and if the autograph is the real deal. I'm extremely paranoid and would like some peace of mind. Thank you !

No, he didn't say the sticker was loose. Thanks for the advice, man this makes me mad. Just when you think you're relatively safe with the PSA/DNA you STILL get tricked. I will call PSA/DNA today and let you know what they say. I've had so many positive buys from Ebay and this is my first bad one so I guess I'm lucky. As far as sports memorabilia goes, I've stuck with the sellers that Cee Gee and Mr. Zipper recommended on Ebay except for this one and haven't had any problems. Lesson Learned. Thanks for the advice !

Rhonda,

Are you within eBay/PayPal's return guarantee period. It doesn't make a difference what PSA/DNA says, really. By the time you get it back you could be beyond the guarantee period.

This person fraudulently represented the item and you simply need to get your money back and go on down the road. The odds of it being genuine knowing what we know now is virtually ZERO. Don't even bother with PSA.

es I am Steve, I just got it a couple of days ago. OK, sounds like a plan. Wish me luck.

In parallel send an email to Joe Orlando explaining the issue and possible problems and see what resolution he might have with regards to authenticity sticker as well as this being the original glove.   The dispute with paypal can then be escalated to a claim depending on timetables and offered resolutions that you receive directly from PSA.

Of course, the presumption being they got it right to begin with as their track record from our self imposed exile boxing opiner seemed to cast doubts on certain boxers.

DB,

Just the fact that the seller said the sticker was detached when he bought it, yet he didn't disclose that to her, is reason alone to return it. When one part of a deal smells off, the entire deal is bound to stink. It probably was switched, but that's not Rhonda's problem to figure out. She should have no problem getting a refund under eBay's and PayPal's guarantee.

good advise, however so long as one preserves their claim with paypal is what counts and if you read the terms & conditions about disputes and claim they have conditions about resolution.  Having gone thru this a few times it is not easy as you suggest.   Thus, if it is a good deal and it's real find out first before one jumps the gun.  2ndly, by doing so you meet the conditions.

btw, he didn't say the sticker was detached.  What he said was, "the hologram was also loose"

There are two things here. Authenticity isn't the issue at this point. I don't think she has to prove it's bad. The item isn't as represented in the listing. She would have to pay out of pocket for shipping and restickering even if it was genuine for sure. I would think that alone is enough for eBay and PayPal.

Very good points which is why I suggested an email be sent so we don't jump around with hypothetical situations especially since the "tamper proof hologram" appears to be defective.

Good luck, Rhonda!

By the way, do you have any advice or tip offs on how to prevent this BEFORE buying ? I thought I was relatively "safe" with it being PSA/DNA even though I know there are fakes out there. Well, besides sticking with reputable people I already do business with.
