I was in a local thrift store today and came across a book that appears to be signed by Monica Lewinsky. I was wondering your opinions on whether or not it is an authentic signature. Look forward to all opinions. Thanks, Ryan

To my eye, this doesn’t look like any other example of her signature that I’ve seen online.  The handwriting looks quite shaky, like it was written by a much older person.  Lewinsky’s signature is bolder and more flowing than this.

Did you not do a quick Google image search whilst in the store?  I’m a hardcore charity shopper, who often comes across signed editions I’m not necessarily familiar with.  I have to make a decision on the spot, but I rarely do so without at least taking a quick look online first, to see if what I’m considering is remotely similar to other examples out there.

My guess is that this book was a gift from someone who shared the first name as her.  It has been known to happen.
