Most Difficult Band/Musician to obtain an in person signature

By far, in my opinion, it is the current line up of the EAGLES. Long gone are the days of the 1980's when these guys though still very moody, and difficult, at least signed something. Don Henley even took part at a KLSX signing show, during that stations rock hey day at the Bonaventure Hotel, if you can believe it. Like the unicorn and a mermaid, those days all seem now like an ancient myth. Joe Walsh, being perhaps the lone exception ( especially when away from the other 3 ) is much more generous, however Schmit, Henley and Frey is all but a waste of your very valuable time. ( I could easily go on and on, but my mother told me if I don't have anything nice to say, .......well, you know the rest ).

I agree with Stephen but in Atlanta if you dressed in a suit and sat at the bar of the 5 star hotel they stayed at. Glen frey never signs but I did get Don Henley, Timothy B Schmidt and Joe Walsh, But I totally agree with being one of the toughest because my friends were waiting outside and only got Joe Walsh and he personalized and the band wass there for 3days there security is brutal they have elevators and doors waiting and they are in and out!

Everyone knows Sir Paul is a 2 or 3 day chase in itself but he signs if you can get past secret service!

As far as tough bands I feel The Rolling Stones are up high on the list and KISS. You can forget Mick jagger he never signs! You will probably get Charlie Watts he is definately the nicest! Ron Wood loves his fans but his security tells him what to do and rarely will they let him sign! Anyone have any thoughts?
Who top in rock isn't a tough signer? Let's get that list going.
I think lou gramm, formerly of foreigner is one of the easiest signers in person. Davy Jones would have to be a close second for me!
Hey Tim, you are right in your feedback. I think what I should of added is the EAGLES add "attitude" along with being tough signers. Tough signers go with being the cream of the success crop, but there are those that choose to say no with class, .......and those ( EAGLES, ie Frey, Schmit and Henley ) that are such weenies when saying no.

Hey Steve, I am going to mail you an in person story about Timothy B. Schmit last month at the club Largo, on October 14th, the opening night of his mini solo tour. Should you choose to print the article is up to you, however, you will find this "incidint" quite astonishing. It will be in Monday's mail to you.

Well Steve....I gave you a good story/list on this, that we can run any time now (hint hint)
Steve, thanks--I'm looking forward to it.
First, let me say....Stephen Duncan is the only collector that has a nicer collection than mine. Some amazing stuff. Check out his collection listed above, and drool all over your computer. I did a few days ago. And also a year ago, when Googling "autographs" on a bored night.

And he's right about the Eagles, especially Henley.

I've met Walsh about 20 times. Only once did he refuse to sign, as he was walking to the bus after a show and his manager snapped at me.

I had a friend of a friend, that plays in a monthly poker game with Henley in Phoenix. They brought a solo CD for him to sign (also like Steve...I realized doing a band album, like Beatles, just looks so incomplete, so go with their solo stuff so you're done with it). He refused to sign it. FOR A PERSON HE PLAYS POKER WITH!!!!
I just found out that the Eagles sell signed guitars for $2,500. Great autographs, too. More stars should do that. Here's the link: http://eagles.shop.musictoday.com/Product.aspx?cp=458&pc=E1AM34
$2,500.00 for a signed REAL Eagles guitar is worth the bread, in my opinion. Here is why: First off, your getting 3 of the 4 hardest members of this 7 person (all time member) band, Henley Frey and Schmit. Walsh will sign about anything, especially when not in the presence of the other 3. That just leaves Felder as the 4th of the hard 4, and yes he can be a real hit or a real miss. He does not like signing for anyone that he thinks sells autographs. As far as the last 2 Meisner and Leadon, they will gladly almost always sign, but only perform here and there so finding them is the key. Randy Meisner lives in Studio City and is almost retired, and Bernie Leadon lives in Nashville. If you are an Eagles fan and can spend the $$, you can have a complete current line up(2002-present) signed guitar by clicking your mouse. Not at all a bad deal in spite of the price.
Hey Josh, two MAJOR blunders I did as a collector is ever getting autographs on any Beatles LP's and Brian Jones era The Rolling Stones LP's. Big, big, big boo-fuu mistake!! My signed albums, though having some very nice signatures, looks so incomplete. As far as The Beatles, I should of kept to solo signed albums (I have a RAM LP signed by McCartney that in my opinion BLOWS AWAY the signed Abbey Road that I have). As far as the Stones, I should of kept with Mick Taylor and/or Ron Wood LP's, or just the 4 remaining and I could of had some completes, instead of the stack of incompletes that I have. People tell me I put too much on LP's being complete, but I think back and go over this all the time, and still conclude that I blundered, BIG TIME!
I would say alot of rock groups are hard to get. I guess you have to know the right people.
i've tried to acquire Celine Dion's autograph at a concert of her's, but security got in the way.......
yet i've always heard she's a good signer. just need to be at the right place at the right time.
