very nice and authentic in my opinion
Thank you terrier8HOF, J.Seah and Steve for your replies. I have uncovered a few clunkers in my collection and cannot tell you all how reassuring it is to get your thumbs up on this one. I have it framed with what appears to be an APwirephoto from May 25, 1965 Clay-Liston fight. This has always been one of my favorites but makes it even more special to get some positive feedback.
Ali signatures from the 60's are highly desirable. I have one that my parents got in person in '68, when he was in exile, at a restaurant in Cape Cod, MA. He personalized to me, and added "World Boxing Champ" which I thought was very cool considering he was banned at that point.
I loved seeing Muhammad Ali on television when I was a kid (often threatening to pull the toupee off of Howard Cosell's head). I can only imagine the thrill of meeting him in person. He seems to have been a very approachable, engaging and generous person throughout his life. It is always fun to hear the stories behind the autographs.
I was not there, but my parents were so happy when they came home. it was a small restaurant in the Dennisport area, and he walked in with his entourage. My mom said he was very nice and accommodating.
