We now have a Musician-Direct Autograph Sales Forum where you can post individual discussions of new offerings. It's a big change—and a big improvement. We closed this discussion after 8 years but it will always be available to read.

The new system has been in place for 2 months now and it's working well.

This video shows you how easy the new forum is to use.

You can follow the forum and be notified of new signings exclusively! And you can enter a musician's name in the forum's search box and find any discussions about them.

Be sure to click the Follow link at the bottom of the list of discussions.

Try it...I think you'll like it.

It can be nice when one stumbles upon a musician's shop (via their website), to see that they are selling their autographs. I figured this could grow as a wee database for listing those musicians who partake in this.

I recently recieved a couple press photos signed in ballpoint from John Mayall's website (http://www.johnmayall.com/merch.html). I am also aware that you can purchase signed CDs from Peter Noone of Herman's Hermits(http://peternoone.com/store/). John 5 ( formerly Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie guitarist) sells various items signed, with an option to dedicate.

So, does anyone else know of this being done by other musicians?

Collective Soul signed preorder items available at pledgemusic

Well, got the Lana preorder from Universal Australia. Looks a bit . . . slow? Granted I'm not entirely well-versed with Lana's autograph, so I'm checking in with a couple people who know more about her on RACC.

I'm not an expert but looks good to me. I seen some on eBay that didn't look like the ones she signed do. Yours looks like the ones she signed. I can see what you mean about looking like it was signed slow though, so who knows. But at least it's similar looking to the ones she was pictured signing.

Well, these were posted on Twitter and seem to have also come from the Australia preorder. I thing these are garbage.

I haven't even gotten tracking on mine yet but I'll post it when I get it. Keep me updated if you find out anything. I ordered the CD, then the litho came out after which Id rather have so I ordered one of each. So I'll have two to compare.

Pretty unanimous on RACC - the Lana Del Rey preorders from Universal Music Australia are crap.

That's no good, Rich. Seems like Lana, over committed with these orders.
Damn, sucks. Seemed like it would be hard for them to sign all they sell. Now the real ones she signed will be garbage too since nobody knows which are which.
The artist should stop the pre orders and make sure they have signed items in their store on the release date, it would save a few hassles.

I'm hopeful the US releases are authentic. I feel like someone in Lana's management did the wrong thing, not Lana herself. Maybe they thought they could pull a fast one on a more limited release in Australia.

Agreed. Lorde had her orders open for 24 hours. That's just too many to sign at once. Or do like 500 preorders, then 500 every few weeks. So they don't get strained and feel obligated to get them done.

It's good they're doing it for the fans for the same price as the cd... But I don't want a CD or poster signed by some random person to say Lana Del Rey. I'm a big fan of her and that was the only reason I ordered. I pay for streaming music so I don't need a CD.

Lorde and Lana were both very cheap given their current popularity level. Affordable is great, but sometime I feel like it makes some of these free companies think they have a free pass to do whatever.
