We now have a Musician-Direct Autograph Sales Forum where you can post individual discussions of new offerings. It's a big change—and a big improvement. We closed this discussion after 8 years but it will always be available to read.
The new system has been in place for 2 months now and it's working well.
This video shows you how easy the new forum is to use.
You can follow the forum and be notified of new signings exclusively! And you can enter a musician's name in the forum's search box and find any discussions about them.
Be sure to click the Follow link at the bottom of the list of discussions.
Try it...I think you'll like it.

Though I recall a member posting a blog asking about this a while ago, I could not relocate it for my purpose in this discussion.
It can be nice when one stumbles upon a musician's shop (via their website), to see that they are selling their autographs. I figured this could grow as a wee database for listing those musicians who partake in this.
I recently recieved a couple press photos signed in ballpoint from John Mayall's website (http://www.johnmayall.com/merch.html). I am also aware that you can purchase signed CDs from Peter Noone of Herman's Hermits(http://peternoone.com/store/). John 5 ( formerly Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie guitarist) sells various items signed, with an option to dedicate.
So, does anyone else know of this being done by other musicians?

Pledge Music is on Facebook also, and if you scroll down far enough they talk about "Dolly". I left a message there also as others might see it and that puts them on the spot (if they don't erase the comment)!
I'm not sure who you are disagreeing with? I think we are all on the same page. I didn't even buy one and I'm pixxed!
Really, I don't think many people will see it. I think Twitter is almost always the better way to get the word out, unless you have a highly read blog or website.
Here is a message I sent to PledgeMusic:
I read a recent post on a website that showed two different cd's from the recently available PledgeMusic Dolly Parton signed item ($75.00) in which the autographs were exactly the same suggesting the use of an autopen. Her autograph contains numerous specific markings that are exactly the same on both pictures. As someone who has purchased numerous items through PledgeMusic I am concerned about the suggestion of the use of an autopen. How is it possible that two autographs/signatures are exactly the same? Does PledgeMusic guarantee that all items are personally signed and not an autopen? Unfortunately this message site does not allow me to post pictures of the autographs that are exactly the same.
I look forward to your response.
Thank you for your consideration.
I will let you know if there is a response.....
I am willing to make an overlay if you supply the images :)
The last one I did was the Lovato and it was so blatant some thought it was a single scan! (or should I say scam?)
OK - that's one disc? Round up another few. This is skewed by the angle of the camera but should not a problem in Photoshop to correct.
Correction - I see 2 in this thread that will work well. Be done in a bit.
Here you go guys. From the 2 on the previous page. Overlay and also tell tale Autopen dots. 2 front strategy - I tried to make it as good as I could. I tried to avoid the problem I had with Lovato - I used the placement here against the item. Click for full size and full image. Let me know if this gets you anywhere.
