Though I recall a member posting a blog asking about this a while ago, I could not relocate it for my purpose in this discussion.
It can be nice when one stumbles upon a musician's shop (via their website), to see that they are selling their autographs. Stephen Duncan has referred to this as a 'win-win' situation. I figured this could grow as a wee database for listing those musicians who partake in this.
I recently recieved a couple press photos signed in ballpoint from John Mayall's website (http://www.johnmayall.com/merch.html). I am also aware that you can purchase signed CDs from Peter Noone of Herman's Hermits(http://peternoone.com/store/). John 5 ( formerly Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie guitarist) sells various items signed, with an option to dedicate.
So, does anyone else know of this being done by other musicians?
and ALAN PARSONS 's back...
Herve, you find great stuff...it should be acknowledged
Was that Journey a CD/DVD or vinyl?
Did anyone else receive the Journey "Eclipse" boxset and find that the "signed lithography" was not with actual autographs but printed ones?
Yes I bought this two years ago already.
And to call it a day, SLASH (but expensive...)
I'm done with Universal Music signed offers, they knew the Jonas Brothers signed inserts were no longer available and yet instead of cancelling my order and giving me a full refund, they shipped the cd without the insert anyway.
Sam I’ve got some spare, happy to assist
They did the same with me! It even had a SIG Sticker on the back case and Signed on the Invoice...... Universal Music Rip Off IDIOTS
I ordered mine from Frontiers not universal. Thought it was journeys websit . Did you do the same? If they are indeed reprints I am refusing delivery and sending them straight back.
Here is the reply from Frontier.....very poor response........
well, we never made promo by telling that it´s real handsigned autographs…it´s s signed lithography, also when it´s printed.
The item is out since a long time now, so, it was mentioned here and there that it´s „only“ printed signatures.
Sorry, that this does not fit your expectations, but it´s definitely no wrong description from our side.
It's either Signed.... or Printed...... one or the other - it really is that simple - Just need to explain that to the Morons at Frontiers
It was Advertised as Signed NOT Printed!
This is Blatant Mis Advertising and Fraud!
So Frontiers and Universal to add to my list of companies Never to buy from again!
