Authenticity is Everything
My 1967/68 Syd Barrett of The Pink Floyd autograph
Syd Barret was one of if not the pivotal founding members of "The Pink Floyd" He was prominent in their performances until late 1968 when he had essentially fried his brain due to over indulging on LSD. He was respectfully cut off from the band and their performances by not picking him up as he would just stand and stare while defining his guitar during live shows. He became a reclusive, private and highly protected individual by his neighbors and family.
In 1975, during the recording sessions of "Wish You Were Here" syd made a visit to EMI Studios to see his band mates. No one recognized him for a long period of time as he was fat, bloated and completely shaved of all hair (head, beard and eyebrows) nick pointed out that it was Std and repotedly the abrupt change in appearance caused David & Roger to cry. What's even more strange is the particular day Syd decided to visit EMI. It was the day Floyd was recording "Shine on You Crazy Diamond" which is a tribute and anagram to Syd. This would be the last time they all met Syd face to face.

The entire album "Wish You Were Here" is a tribute to their friend Syd. The members of Pink Floyd even made sure that syd got his piece of Royalties from their.
Syd lived a private life studying Art, DIY and gardening. He passed away from cancer in 2006.

Oh it's not for sale. Comes from original owner in Birmingham, England who also had original candid Kodak Snapshots of a few of their 1967 shows from the audience.

Well most of the time people say "you can't sell without a COA" just getting it out of the way before it gets said again.

Not me. I do not collect, buy, sell or recommend anything with stickers or papers. Never had a problem.

Would love to see more people like you! I had a few John Lennon autographs from The WFIL event, some sloppy some consistent, but one came with 2 polaroid photos of John at the event, one of which showed the item after it was signed and someone was just "NO COA...NO SELL"

I think they need to do some homework. And there are many errant coa's.I rely on myself - no stockholders to please - and I only specialize in 2 names. Bowie (1976-1980) and Gleason (1945-1987). Of course I know other graphs, but not with such intensive years of research. Now I can name the secretaries Gleason used, when they worked for him, their names and photos, and of course their "Gleason" signatures. Please click for larger image:

Thank you. It had not been done yet. I've cut a lot of new ground with Gleason. Even got PSA to remove the secretarials and forgeries they had at their "Gleason Facts Page". (2 out of 4!). They know better. If not it's a true waste of money.

this is really great info! Im impressed. Gleason is one of those I would love to add to my collection but always considered him untouchable so I never bothered to research. Ive stumbled on a few great signatures in my life unexpectedly, including John Belushi, where I had to make a quick decision and was happy when I was able to get it authenticated. This will help others out there who run into a Gleason signature in a similar way.
