"Lennon" glasses with stories of how they came about are all over the place. John was severely nearsighted. In his early 30s he was -8.25 in his right eye and -7.50 in his left, so the odds of him giving anyone a spare pair of his glasses are slim to none.
Not for sale has been detailed at the top of the discussion. I also detailed it at the top of one of the other glasses posts I put up on my old account.
"NOT FOR SALE" is the ultimate sales pitch. There was a music collector who sold a TON of forgeries with the sales pitch "NOTHING FOR SALE."
