Need some help with this Mark Mcgwire signature.

Guy wants to trade with me. Just need a little help knowing if this is 100% legit. I think it looks ok, but I`m not great with Mac.

impossible to tell 100%. His signature is forged a lot and it's easy for them to do.

Ian, I have a Big Mac signed ball with a sig like yours. I think the one that Erich is presenting is what used to be called his "Ball Park" signature - yes, the rushed version.

Sadly, I think Mac might have actually been able to get to 62 without 'roids. I mean the guy hit 49 as a 'roid-less rookie. He still holds that legitimate record. That's a good reason right there for people to keep collecting him, huh?

Im a fan but theres always gonna be a dark cloud with him. Its a shame for our young people who grow up with the hit king, homer king, homers in season king. and the top modern pitcher (Clemons) all soiled.

Totally agree. While I'm fine with saying Pete Rose is the hit king (no performance enhancement), the homer king and single-season homer king are Hank Aaron and Roger Maris, respectively, period.

And everyone I personally know agrees. And even though they are no longer officially kings according to MLB, in another sense Aaron and Maris still are officially, because if the fans don't recognize Barry Bonds' achievements, he really has no legitimacy. And it's not fair to the players who played in the steroids-era but did not use performance-enhancing drugs. That's my take.

Well, steroids are part of it now. We cant take that away. I just wonder how steroids help you hit a baseball? How many of the pitchers pitching in the Steroid Era where using? No one really knows.

this style was indeed his "ballpark" signature (almost never on the sweet spot) during the latter part of his playing days. these are more difficult to authenticate because they are so abbreviated. While I dont really like the bottom of the g in this one, the rest of it looks correct so I would say likely genuine, but not 100%.

If you are looking for Mac signatures, I would go for one of his complete name signatures, they are much more desirable and easier to authenticate.
