Thank you Rick,
I think most of the TPA do an overall decent job. Money does play a role or nobody would want to stick their neck out on such a speculative venture. All this talk is interesting but does it really lead to any kind of solution or just continue to circle the same mountain over and over again? If you going to be an authenticator for hire you better have a thick skin. And not be simply in love with the all mighty dollar. It's about the autograph not who is paying.
Carlos,
I'm not saying you're wrong--I dont know--but how can you tell that's a forgery, let alone Operation Bullpen? Tha autograph is so small and fuzzy I can't see how anyone can render an opinion based on it, one way or another. And there were no larger images in the listing.
Well at least one Ali collector in the world thought it was authentic. Someone bought it.
Carlos, I see the similarities in the comparison autographs you posted, but I think it's wreckless to out and out call something a forgery based on such a small image...even though you're 100% sure. Why don't you write PAAS and ask them for a larger image of the autograph? In fact, ask Mike Frost to join in the conversation and post it. That would make for an interesting, and valuable, discussion.
