Hello! I recently purchased this photo of Christian Bale and Anne Hathaway on eBay. It looked real at that time, but now that I received it, I have doubts. The autographs are not flawless, the person seems to have stopped at certain main spots, as if trying to copy a real auto. Of course, I'm just a beginner, so I can be wrong, but I would like to have your opinion. Thanks!

To further verify my explanation, Hathaway will NOT sign that pose of her as she says thats not her. She only signs "REAL" batman photos of her as many of the photos are of her double. I was the first to approach her with that shot individually and she looked it for a minute or so. She asked for different photo.
Thanks Skyline. Why wouldn't she sign the above photo for you? I don't get it. Isn't it her in the photo?
Interesting... I will keep that in mind for future purchases.
It's true that this shot looks more like a drawing of Batman and Selena. But the face does look like her though. Maybe she doesn't like it because the photo seems to be digitally modified a little bit.
Another shot I love from this movie is Selena and Bruce Wayne when they dance. If I could find one with both signatures, I would be VERY happy!
I suppose it does give the appearance of a comic book cover so I can understand why she would pass on it if she doesn't sign anything that is not her.
I did write to Gmauthenticautos asking if there was a personalization on the photo. I didn't say anything else. He replied very fast and told me that there was one and it was neatly removed. So I might buy it as soon as I get the refund for the other photo (the one in my first message). It will give me a few more days to "sleep on it". :-) Thanks Skyline!
By the way, do you know any of those sellers?
I stumbled across this after purchasing from one of the sellers mentioned here (double down). Still awaiting the autos (Hathaway, Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone and a multiple auto from Prometheus) but definitely concerned now that they might not be genuine, and in fact now re-evaluating some of my older ebay purchases. It's odd as I've collected various things over the years but only just now considering autographs as a collecting line and potential for fakery.
I think I might need to go through my pieces and look a bit more carefully. Definitely going to be more cautious in the future, especially as I've followed my heart more in the past "I want that person!" rather than who I am buying from. It actually sickens me that people would sell faked pieces and so on.
Hi Chris and welcome to these forums! I totally understand what you mean, because I was also like that in the beginning. I saw a photo I loved and said "I have to have this one". At first, I didn't really care if the autograph was real or not, or I didn't think about it.
Now, I'm much more careful of what I buy and WHERE I buy it. I prefer waiting for the perfect photo from a respected dealer instead of buying from the first one to offer it. If you need help regarding your collection to determine if they are real or fake, the best way is to ask here IMHO. :-)
