Hello, I have Neil Armstrong's autograph from NASA. Can it be original?

At the most, it might be an original autopen, but it's not handsigned by Armstrong in any case.

Hello, very strong opinion. Why is NASA sending such copies? When carefully magnified, you can see the nuances of a very good pen. I found a similar autograph on ebay for $2,700 from a reputable seller. Thanks for the opinion.

It is not up to me to explain NASA's mindset or reasoning, but it clearly looks like an autopen.

I do know that NASA sent out autopenned photos of the Apollo 11 crew and probably others, as late as the 1990s - I received them myself.   I don't believe that they still do, and in any case their website says that they will only accept mail for current astronauts.

As for why?  It's pretty obvious that there was a huge demand for Apollo 11  photos but probably no supply.  Therefore, autopenned photos were sent.

Thank you JK, I am grateful.

I think he was jogging in the dark when he signed it.

That is comically horrible!

You can very clearly see the dots showing that this is an autopen.  It could even be some type of home autopen invention that somebody concocted.

Thank you Steve. I am naive.

No problem
