Are you sure? It looks like someone has grafted a set of Aspinalls onto the cover.
It looks like tape was placed over the signatures.
Yes, I think you’re correct.
...which illustrates how crappy this set is. Whatever happened, it's a waste of the LP cover.
I would disagree with your statement. Neil signed US Lp’s are quite rare. Getting a VJ Lp signed by Neil is even more rare. Tape over the signatures not such a big issue and I’ve certainly seen worse on genuine Beatles autographs.
I agree with you, it definitely increases the items collectability but only in Beatles World could even a fake set of autographs be collectible lol.
I understand, no problem. This is my preference & shouldn't be misinterpreted as anything else.
For me, to be clear, placing tape over the signature(s) essentially destroys the original - and as a collector/restorer - it's something I wouldn't do.
Totally agree with your position. Given the choice of having this Lp with tape over the signatures or not having it I would have it with the tape. As you correctly stated it becomes a matter of personal preference.
My kind of thing this discussion & Personal preference? either don't get involved with an item or live with it carry on happy, as everything is documented for the nxt generation if the word is good, these are good Neils to own, it's not a genuine set or described as such these days, trying to make a point its genuine, folks are too quick to gather good things to get them away when really questionable Fake, but we know its Aspinall.
Were items have come from its History I love this set, even though its lost, maybe it was signed at a USA concert or Ballroom, we will never know.
