Authenticity is Everything
Newbie needs help...
HI, I am brand new to the board, and I am looking for some input on a piece I may be purchasing from a private collector. After doing my google research, you guys seem to be extremely knowledgeable and pretty kick ass when it comes to spotting and exposing fakes so I am starting here. The item is an 8x10 autographed by both Joe Dimaggio & Mickey Mantle. The picture has a COA attached to the back, but I have been reading about a lot of fakes out there of these two together as well as these two with Ted Williams. Any and all input is GREATLY appreciated. I really don't want to make a very costly mistake. Pictures can be found here...

Thanks for all the input, after all the research I did I figured it was a "pass" but I wanted to double check...It would have been a barter deal and not an actual sale, but value is value. You guys rock. :)

As a sidenote...I also emailed "Signature Dreams" last night and got a response this morning...
"That COA number if from a long time ago....we are issuing holograms in the 8000 range right now....We had a computer problem around 2007 and lost all our previous archival records....I may however have a picture of it in another database...Can you describe the piece...Mike"
