I’ve had this piece for about 10 years I bought it an an auction and the seller told me it was signed at the JC Dobbs in Philadelphia on October 1st, 1991. I’m really curious to hear what you guys think. Anybody with Nirvana experience I would love to hear your opinions. I’ve seen similar items from the era that look very similar. I know Nirvana autographs can be very tricky. I was a novice collector then so I know better now and always buy psa, Jsa, epperson, or pieces with exact proof and great provenance.

No chance that this was signed in 1991. Krist was signing  Chris in Oct 1991. Sorry this is not authentic.

Thanks for your opinion I really didn’t know a lot about their autographs then much appreciated. I hear you’re pretty good on Nirvana thanks

I’ve been looking for a genuine cobain for the last 10 years and prices on the real stuff are always so high. I have a psa vedder, a Cornell from toppix, Scott weiland with rock solid provenance, linkin park fully signed hunting party poster but for the life of me cobain is my kryptonite as a collector and it’s a shame because he’s one of my biggest heroes in life I toured all the cobain sites in Aberdeen, Seattle, and Olympia when I was a teenager and being a lefty I picked up guitar because of Kurt. It just bums me out I may never find anything signed by him that’s authentic at a decent price.

Not real, sorry.

Thank you for the kind words I truly feel educated and more motivated than ever to find an authentic Nirvana piece. It’s hard hearing something I’ve had for a decade isn’t real but at the same time I didn’t spend too much on it and I learned from it. I’ve bought many amazing autographs from great dealers like Markus brandes, Roger Epperson, and Andy peters. The thing I’ve learned that the journey is just as satisfying as the destination. I love keeping the spirit of my heroes and the art they made alive with every piece I obtain.
