Hi,

Could anyone help me authenticating these Nirvana autographs please?

This was found in a loft in Paris.

That is the only info I have.

I have also attached another picture of a record found at the same place and time which is also signed.

Any thoughts are welcome.

Thank you in advance!

Honestly, Goodcat, the first thing I did after I read this post and heard that the autographs were being offered privately was check to see if there's a Craigslist in Europe.

and what did you find my friend?

There is Craigslist in Europe.

Sounds like a couple folks found themselves some autograph bargains on it. Uh oh.

there's no uh oh Rick

I couldn't care less if every member on AML and every TPA says they're fake

I have my own opinion

How bout we just call it night on this

Or you're going to force me to OD on a box of donuts LMFAO

Don’t know anything about Nirvana signatures. Never collected them and couldn’t tell the real from the fake. Just laughing about the European Craigslist angle.

haha yeah

It's like throwing stones at ghosts

The fact is.... a bargain was indeed found and everyone is getting bent outta shape

And no worries.... you're not the only one on here who can't tell a real Nirvana from a fake HAHAHA

Even Neil Peart himself can't authenticate his own signature. He leaves that up to a friend of mine. Crazy but true. Life is strange eh?

I don't see anyone getting bent out of shape. I see members here with concerns about the albums, and/or the circumstances, or strongly believe they're not real.

Nothing wrong with that. Discussing autographs honestly and respectfully is what we are here for.

Maybe you're right, You usually are the voice of reason.

Maybe it's me getting bent outta shape, sorry

Im gonna skip the donut and have a beer

Goodcat, like I said, I don't know Nirvana well. I do have concerns about these for a number of reasons. The unlikely story, what sounds like a bargain price, that the autographs don't look spontaneously signed. But who knows?

I agree with Xwiesy, though, that it's highly unlikely that Grohl signed the silver inscriptions. Here are a couple of examples of his writing:

This is a handwritten letter by Grohl, from Jeremiah Seah's Nirvana exemplar library:

This is Grohl's inscription on a Nirvana signed photo that John Brennan had signed that was sold recently by RR:

These are the albums being discussed that Grohl is believed to have inscribed:

Steve please

Who said David signed the inscription?

I didn't

So where is all this assuming coming from

Everybody step away from the keyboard and let's have a donut together OK?
