Hi folks, I'd like to get opinions on this please.

I have looked around and many Nirvana autographs do look very different. I also know that they did like messing with people by purposely not doing good autographs, so that they couldn't gain value for resale. This was supposed to have been collected backstage during the In Utero tour. I bought it from a record dealer (Vinyl Exchange) when I was 14 years old in 1995.

Do you think it's genuine? Looking for opinions from people with Nirvana signature experience if they are around please!

Thanks for your help.

I'd say that this is no good. Looks like the same person did all three sigs.

Ah, I seem to remember reading in one of their biographies that they weren't keen on doing autographs properly, y'know a kind of 'anti-fame' thing. I'm pretty sure the same biog said that Krist called himself Chris for a good while.

I don't like this either. And I agree with Travis that it looks like the same person have signed all 3 autographs.

And to reply to Mike, my Nirvana set with Chris is genuine since I was the one who got the autographs back in 1992. But I have understand that it's not that common with this spelling on his signature.

There is way to much garbage out there!

No, I'm not exactly heart broken. I've been suspicious of it for a while. Was thinking of trying to sell it one day, and didn't wanna try and sell something phoney. Only just found Autographs Live, so thought I'd post and ask.

Just out of interest, I don't suppose there's anything I can do about the fact that I was sold a forgery in the first place is there? It was a long time ago.

No COA :( I didn't even know I'd need one. Last time I got in touch with them (7 years ago), they said the old staff weren't there any more, but would be certain they would have only sold genuine items ...

That sounds like a good plan, but I think they will want me to prove I bought it from them, and I don't have receipts or anything. Maybe you're braver than I am!

Thanks for the comments guys.
