I'm not a space collector, but like many have always wanted an Apollo 11 piece. Well I took a gamble on this item which I won in a recent auction. After opening the signed book up I found a paper COA from Novaspace Galleries for the Collins autograph, in people's view is this a reputable company? And does it add to the validity of that autograph? Thanks.

Thank you very much for taking your time on this piece Steve, it's very kind of you. You're right that the direct scan can make items appear different than to the naked eye. I've attached here a photo of the signatures so that the difference can be seen.

Thank you Steve.

Which auction did you get it at?

Hi. The auction house was Bloomsbury UK. The piece also came with a couple of original B&W photos of Neil Armstrong. I would guess this would have been when he would have signed the book (but it would only be a guess). Does anyone have any idea of roughly when this would have been (e.g. Early 70s, late 70s etc)?

Yep... looks like a 70s era Armstrong with contemporary private signing Buzz and Collins. I'd guess around 1972 for the Armstrong.

Brilliant, thanks again Steve.

Nate - For $1500 or so, you got a great deal. I forgot to put that auction on my calendar.

Rob is not an owner of NovaSpace. Rather, he's an employee, but seems to run the place and do more than the owners do. He is very busy right now due to recent and soon-to-come astronaut signings. Ironically, Michael Collins is there next week for his annual signing.

Kim and Sally Poor are the owners. Rob is the day-to-day manager I believe.

Kim has a serious medical condition, so Rob has been more prominent.

Yes, very happy with price paid. I've bid on a couple of signed books before (as that is what I wanted) but always got out-bid, so it was great to have got this one. There are some things that probably meant I was able to win it (different era signatures, some tape marks on the signed page), but I'm chuffed either way, as the signatures are good, bold and clear.
Thanks for the Novaspace info. Good to know a reply, if forthcoming at all, may be some time if they are busy with stuff going on.
