Vintage Hollywood Collection Real or Not? Judy Garland, Shirley Temple, Elizabeth Taylor.... more

Hi, I found a box of signed photographs at my, now deceased, grandmothers house. I have no idea if they are real or not but it appears she had written letters to the stars and gotten back an autograph since one is a postcard addressed from Warner Bros. I didn't know if the celebrity would have signed it themself or if it was done by a machine. If anyone can take a look and tell me what you think I'd really appreciate it. Here's a link to everything if you want to see.

I agree.

Agreed. The common preprinted postcards of the day - see the Garland below made with the same base template in comparison to your find - one over the other in 50% transparency. In this example, it appears each of the words/names have been slid around a bit to look slightly different (and/or with different camera angle/distortion) - this is called "placement" - I only worked with "Sincerely", but that degree of alignment indicates a preprint (and I did not even do it half perfectly). This could be done with first and last names as well:
