Hi guys,

I‘m a big Bowie fan and looking to buy an autograph of his. I used to own one back in the day but that came from Andy Peters and with all the rumors going around I parted with it. Can I get some opinions on these two signatures currently available for sale?

Thanks in advance!

Here are some authentic 1980's. Sit down to IP. I'd pass on the OP. Those numerals are off as is the whole flavor. The "Th" connection in "Thanks" etc. That "s." I see a stop and start were speed and fluidity should be as well. One cross bar seems to going in the wrong direction as well.

Thanks! Appreciate your opinion. Bowie‘s my favourite musician but I have a really hard time sorting out what‘ real and what‘s not. Might be better to stay away from his autographs.

I know some of the 1980's I posted are at his site in the Galleries. Some are good. The ones I showed predate Ford. I used to own the SP and the oversized card. That signature was huge Yes, a good time to be very careful with Bowie's.

Can I see the item you sold?

What are your concerns with this 1980 playbill? Who is selling it and where/how much?

It‘s up on Ebay, just wanted to make sure beforehand. I don‘t have a photo of my old one but that came directly from Andy Peters

If there was no preexisting sales record before Tony Ford had it then it is always going to be a problem no matter what it was. In time his "work" will become more and more obvious. There are a few dealers out there still believing him.

I shudder to think if he had used "stickers"...he passed a lot of good stuff.

They still believe because it is costly for them to say otherwise. Those who overlook do so purposefully because it is in their best self interest to come up with excuses to look the other way. Unfortunately this has happened with other "experts" and TPA where their collections or business now rely on keeping the lie going. Keep fighting the good fight Eric!

Thank you for the encouragement Adam. It means a lot from you :-)

I's pass on the 91 just for poor eye appeal. Those Tim Machine years and that style seem to be among the least collected.

Having just seen that vandalistic freeloading advertising sticker I would never go near this item.

Using the "Peters" website against him, there is not a single 1980 exemplar with a dot instead of the " ° " or, rarely, the inverted v shaped tick for the bit above the paraph. There is one that looks like a dot, but it is also a tiny tight inverted v shaped tick.
