Hi - I bought this signed U2 album at least 5 years ago but am now questioning if it is authentic. The Bono autograph is quite different from the one I personally obtained from him in 1992 but thought he was likely rushing.  Opinions please? Thank you.

I don’t think they are real, hate to say.

Sorry, but I agree with Steve.  These are not authentic in my opinion.

Unfortunately that is definitely not authentic.

Thank you all!

Hi Rich

I am new here and you appear to be the real deal. I am not a collector, just a fan, but have always loved Bono's self portraits. I run into them every now and then on eBay. I was wondering what your opinion is on these two? The letters are useless, but just wondering if you can see any legitimacy in the art and signature? The seller has 100 per cent positive feedback. Thank you for your help. A great volunteer service! Chris

Those are both entirely fake. 100% feedback really doesn't mean much as 1) the seller seems to deal mostly in records and 2) people who buy forgeries generally don't know until much later, well after feedback is given. The feedback you see on Ebay is almost entirely based on how fast it was shipped and the condition when it arrived.

Thanks very much Rich. I appreciate this. I bought two song sheets a long time ago on eBay. early 2000s. I may reach out again, but I'm pretty sure they are fakes as well. What a waste!

Are there any reputable sellers that you would recommend? or is that a bit too much to ask given that these things change hands so often. At some point, I would love one of these self portraits for my wall. As I get older and older, I appreciate Bono and U2 more and more.

Thanks again!

Off the top of my head, I'm not sure who the best go-to on U2 graphs would be at the moment. You could always keep an eye on R&R auction for a quality piece. Many dealers tend to overprice U2, and in-person collectors almost always miserably overprice their often poor quality items.

Thanks Rich. I appreciate this resource. For someone who has no idea what they are doing, this is valuable.

I am off to Seattle for the next 5 days or so (I'm Canadian) but will likely post those two song sheets, which I have a hard time believing are not fake, when I return.

I'm not a collector but if the price is right I would consider this. Is there a COA? I may have to get back to you next week. Thanks.

yes I would be once covid calms down. how much you thinking?

Not real sadly and Edge and Bono are the same hand
