Hi!! The seller claims that this one belonged to the collection of one of the owners of the Copacabana Palace Hotel (Jorge Guinle) in Rio. Any opinions? Thank you!

Strange overall. Very busy; lots of things going on that I've never seen before on any MM. I also see tells of secretarial MMs, but if it is secretarial, again, too many off-elements here that I've never seen in a secretarial.
My feeling about odds are 50% unknown forger, 35% secretarial proxy, 15% genuine.

I'd be very surprised if Marilyn signed it. I don't think it has a chance of being signed by her.

I might have gone less than 15% chance of it being authentic, except that both M-vortices are just about perfect!

There's nothing wrong with leaving a chance there. I just feel really confident about this.

Oddly enough, where most forgers try to give you as little as possible to produce less tells, this MM went overboard. It's double inscribed, you've got "Best Wishes", and "Love" and the entire signature appears to be riddled with anachronisms. The Ms like typical 1952-4 MMs, yet the W in wishes something out of the later early 60s signatures and far, far more like that! That's what makes it so odd, like it was constructed using a dozen different exemplars from over a 10 to 12 year period!
That's probably why it "has that certain something". It seems to be a lot of MM's stylistic elements in there, just constructed awkwardly. Like if you built a beautiful house, but upside down from the attic up! lol

MM used many secretaries most common using red ink I know I have seen this style many times before

I've seen parts of it here and there, in proxies where you're fairly certain that it's one of the secretaries because the style is familiar. But never put together like this one is. It's a chronological smorgasbord. Like if you clipped a letter from here, a word from there, and pasted them together, IMO!

The Salutation is odd you are correct but the signature is secretarial . Ignoring the signature altogether I would be curious if there is a studio stamp on the verso

I'm surprised there was one secretary who nailed her 1952-54 Ms!! Typically, the proxies I've seen have Ms that are all over the place.
