NEWLY SURFACED LENNON SIGNED IMAGINE ALBUM???
What's your opinions on this Lennon autographed IMAGINE album from WFIL?
I believe it's AUTHENTIC. That would make it one only 12? Known to exist. I used to own one and sold it at GOTTAHAVEROCKANDROLL auctions. This has probably one of the best placed signatures I've seen on an IMAGINE album. It also has the doodle and the year, which is rare for WFIL. I only know of a few others with the doodle.
I feel it is very similar to this WFIL signed TWO VIRGINS.
Pictured is another from WFIL with the doodle and year which looks like it reads 78 but its 75.
Also pictured is a 1975 test press album inner sleeve signed by John. Pretty similar doodle and date formations.
I like the fact it has the doodle and year which is SPOT ON to my eyes. It gives more forensics for you to look at other than an autograph which can be practiced over and over.

WFIL Man,
What is your guarantee the authenticity to those who purchase an autograph from you?
Like many others in terms of authentication, if it doesn't have proof like an original candid photo I will not guarantee. I've sold a couple with original photos and/or the flyer, which are good to have as theyre rare and unique. When there's a lack of physical provenance I like others can only rely solely on the story behind and the forensics of the autograph by comparison examination. I can only issue my opinion based on my experience in studying and compiling. Also I can't guarantee that a TPA service will deem a WFIL Lennon Autograph as authentic due to the very broad lack of understanding and a stigma of uncertainty and fear when it comes to Lennon autograph from WFIL. It's been a known thing for TPA services WILL put their reputations first and will deem a supposed WFIL Lennon autograph as inconclusive or not authentic, even if it may be authentic. I can only issue ny opinion.
WFIL Man,
EVERY respected autograph dealer I know of meaningfully guarantees the authenticity of the autographs they sell for life. Some auction houses don't but every reputable autograph dealer does.
Roger Epperson guarantees the authenticity of every autograph he sells for life.
Frank Caiazzo guarantees the authenticity of every autograph he sells for life.
Perry Cox guarantees the authenticity of all of the memorabilia (signed and unsigned) and vinyl records he sells for life.
Frank's lifetime guarantee is on the LOA of every autograph he sells. If the guarantee is not printed on the LOAs of things Roger and Perry sell, it's in the terms of their sales receipts.
Their reputations decide. If you want to protect your reputation and the value and position of your name in the marketplace you have to do the right thing.
Servi, I once bought an item from an auction house, convinced it was 100% real. I wound up the winning bid, very competitively, and sent to item off to 2 respected TPA's for their affirmation and a Letter. Both responded back the item was indeed fake, in their opinion. I send this information to the auction house, and they refunded my money. Stubborn or unconvinced, the auction house turned around and sold to at another one of their auctions to some one that probably also thought it was real. Based on your beliefs and expressions, that person very well could have been you. I respectfully disagree with your thoughts on TPA's , they do provide an important service and deserve to charge a fee for that service..It saved me thousands of dollars..Good luck to you !!!

1-2-3-FAW - Keep in mind that a page removed from a Ringo signed Genesis Publications book was sent to two different reputable TPAs and both failed it. It looked fine to me, and consistent with other signatures from the edition. Nothing really surprises me after seeing that.
Perry did not sell an item with a fake Frank letter. You need to have some proof before you start saying things like this
What if the person gets the authenticity opinion of a recognized Beatles autograph expert? Not necessarily to get a COA from them but for their opinion on authenticity?
I explain to them you're buying from me. I cannot guarantee that a TPA service will deem this as authentic as there is a lack of understanding and a stigma of uncertainty and fear when it comes to Lennon autographs from the WFIL event. Many have bought and were satisfied and a couple bought and got authentication afterwards.
