Two thumbs up!

Joe W., Thanks for taking a look.

Yes from me. Early sig.

Eric, Thanks for the look.

Here is mine David. As I might have mentioned, I try to get sigs from the time of the film I am collecting - in this case Soylent Green:

Eric, I have noticed you collect vintage SP items that are amazing….Did you notice  I collect  any autograph that is a real,  in person street graph?  I flew out to the west  coast  for many years collecting from many in person collectors.

Hi David,

Yes, I have noticed. Apart from 1 or 2 I am still looking for every SP I have is either on a vintage still from the film, or is a signed portrait (or high quality true unique candid) accompanied by a vintage still, preferably double weight and studio stamped. In a few cases it is nearly impossible to find an original signed still with a vintage sig! Like John Agar - finding a vintage still with vintage sig from The Mole People of 1956 (a guilty pleasure) seems to be one of the impossible variety. So I collected an original still with a 1990 sig on it - seems as close as I will get. And that took over 10 years! Original paper from some films, like Invasion of the Body Snatchers from '56 is very tough indeed. Makes Dracula look relatively easy.

Thanks for the compliment BTW. I do have a few IP's - the most rushed is the Heston in green - he was quite reluctant but eventually did sign in the desired green. That was in the early 90's and I did not give as much thought as I should have to what I was getting signed and how - but it is what it is.

Eric, The only time I had the opportunity to get Heston in person was at his book signing at the Hollywood Collectors Show, at the Beverly Garland Holliday Inn on Vineland in Burbank. I could not fly out and missed him. My only regret from that show was the female lead from "Hollywood Canteen" Joan Leslie was there, and I had to get a friend of mine out in L.A. to get her autograph for me. By that time I had a lot of in person runners who supplied me with in person "Hestons"…..And yes I had to trash a lot of Hestons I sent him thru the mail.

WOW, Eric, I stood in front of  Agar at least 5 times at the Hollywood Collector Show, for whatever reason I could never  ask and pay for his autograph………he was always connected to  an oxygen tank and going back to the celebrity home.

I remember you mentioning some of that. The last film I remember seeing him in was 1976's King Kong. He was a lot of fun in Tarantula and the second Creature from the Black Lagoon. Oddly, Clint Eastwood was in both of those in bit parts. These were the films I loved as a child 45 years ago or so. Nothing like Saturday mornings. Sunday Mornings was Abbott & Costello with my Dad at 11:30. He would get hot buttered rolls early and we would watch. Same with my Honeymooners sets - 11:30 PM weekdays. That's why I have the following set - they all mean something to me. When I loaned part of a building from the 1939 New York World's Fair (I am a serious collector and dealer) to the National Building Museum's exhibit The World's Fairs of the 30's the stipulation was that it was shown in memory of my dad on the museum tag. The photo at bottom is me and my dad at the Fairgrounds in 1970.
