Hi All,

I've just discovered this very helpful forum and wish I knew about it before I bought these Prince autographs. The first one is a Prince Purple Rain signed original poster. The seller said she would write me a letter of provenance so I'll see what she says about it when I receive it.

The second one is a signed "When Doves Cry" single 12" record. The seller says it was signed in 1986 at Wembley Stadium in London, England.

Thoughts?

Thanks in advance for your help

How much did you pay for these?

A little over $500 for each.

On ebay?

yes, on ebay.

The poster has a chance, but the record is clearly fake in my opinion.
I dont see any formation in the letters in his name, which concerns me.
True.
If it is fake, it's definitely not as bad as the majority I have seen so far.
Thats a nice way of saying it. I dont like them.
You can always get a quick opinion of epperson. Just to double check im no expert.

I'm glad you found us Vamos, because you should be able to get a refund if since you bought them on eBay, presumably through PayPal.

I don't like either of your Prince autographs. Here's a genuine Prince signed photo from RR Auction, precertified by Roger Epperson. Your "When Doves Cry" autograph particularly appears to be an attempt to mimic this style:

BTW, genuine examples of the items you posted would be easily $5,000+ for the poster and $3,500+ for the album. I don't know if he even signed any posters.

Thats a bloody nice signature on the photo.

Thanks for all your opinions guys. I will def look into getting refunds.
