Hi All,
Another original vintage still from Othello of 1951 accompanied by an opening night playbill from the St. James Theater in London. Opening night playbills were free for the press and all. Later playbills have a price sticker you had to break to open and read it. Recipient of the Grand Prix du Festival International du Film (precursory name for the Palme d'Or) at the 1952 Cannes Film Festival, the film was distributed by United Artists when it was released in the United States in 1955.

That is a great pair. That Playbill is a real find. I loved CITITZEN KANE one of my favorites. It seems at least in the eyes of The Crown producers that actors today are incapable of "aging" on screen. Orson Welles did an absolutely believable aging process in his masterpiece.
