Hi All,
I wanted to wish everyone a Happy Halloween and share this image. October 31st, 1939, was the closing night of the first season of the 1939 New York World's Fair. This unique exposition was to conclude with Taps being played on a bugle by a Marine at the base of the Helicline, at the Perisphere (that big ball, 180" wide - the Trylon or spire 610') at 2 PM. Despite all the Press waiting, this never actually happened! So, the Fair is actually still raging, and from there I wish you all a spooky good evening!
