George - The provided scan is rather grainy. Is this what it looks like in person? If so, might it be a photocopy?
I'd like to have seen him include his middle initial "L" on a legal document such as he seems to have often done. This could well be secretarial. He's pretty tricky to pin down in my opinion. Maybe others will have some thoughts.

Here's that middle initial "L" that I mentioned (kind of looks more like a "C"). I've seen this on his personal checks, like this, as well as on legal documents. It's not a dealbreaker to not have it of course, but it is something he did if you are searching around for him.
Etienne is right. Even if it looks genuine there's no way to give a real opinion without quality, complete photos. Not just the signature, the entire document too.
I would agree with Etienne and Steve, you need to see the fully executed document, and that Newman is very hard to render an opinion. That being said, IMHO, your Newman looks secretarial to me. The sudden stop and the the thickness of the ""l" in Paul, and the stop at the end of "m" in Newman to me, does not have his personal flow of the pen. My third exemplar I own and fully expect to be a secretarial.
