I obtained a professionally framed official photo of President Reagan with guest in the White House Dining Room. It is autographed to Shirley Frahm.  Is this autograph real?

I hate to tell you this but that’s autopen. That being said some of these types of photos have been authentic but usually they are also personalized in Reagan’s hand.

I thought it might be although it is kind of classless to invite a guest to dinner at the White House and not sign the photo. The good news is I only paid $3 for the photo. The frame is worth more.

As I recall Frank Sinatra invited a bunch of his closest friends over to his house for his 50th birthday, gifted them a numbered and signed book and it was secretarially signed. It still sells as genuine.

Sinatra: A Man and His Music Signed $1,163.00 (secretarial)

+1

Fortunately I do have two Frank Sinatra autographs signed in person and a book by Pavarotti signed and sold by the Metropolitan Opera.
