I've heard stories before of PSAs quick opinion service erring on the cautious side by coming back with "Likely Not Genuine" (including that same opinion for this Paul McCartney signed Hard Day's Night).  I am hesitant to send them items by mail because that's at least 100 bucks spent without guaranty of a certificate coming back.  Now, I'm considering returning this Macca album to the seller even though I think it's good.   Any advice from Autograph Magazine's readers on what to do -- or with similar stories about PSA's Quick Opinion Service?

The best thing to do whenever possible is get opinions before you buy, whether from this site, others, one of the authentication companies or another music expert. But this is a McCartney I'd encourage you to return. The a, the m, the cc don't look right to me.

Well it's a good thing I paid on Paypal as it make a refund easier.  Thank you for your opinion on this -- I will be returning it.

Happy to help. So you don't know if it really passed PSA quick opinion previously, right?

Correct -- I was just going by what he told me before I purchased so I have no way of knowing if this is true.  I suppose there have been cases of getting conflicting "Quick Opinions" on the same item.  The same seller has two JSA COA McCartney Albums on Ebay right now and a Magical Mystery Tour that Roger Epperson doesn't like.  (Topic is being discussed now in The Beatles Forum).

Bruce can you get me the name of the seller you purchased it from (not ebay id I have that but his/her actual name)? I want to ask my guys in NYC if they know who it is and if he/she can be trusted.

Neal Patel is his name.  He says he has a big connection with someone in the Springsteen camp and alot of Bruce's on Ebay (some with JSA Certs).   I have NOT gotten my refund yet so please don't bring up the Hard Day's Night album.  Thank you and let me know what you find out.

Thanks working on it right now. Don't worry I had no plans of tipping my hat so to speak. Ask him the first name of his Springsteen connection. If he's not full of BS I bet it is the same guy I know. This guy I know is so loved by Bruce he signs anything he puts in front of him.

Not sure if he will tell me his connection but Neal collects mostly in New York and he did tell me that Bruce DOES love him and signs anything -- not even personalizing it so Neal can sell on Ebay. He says he has a connection with his PR and his bodyguard.  This is my first dealing with Neal and he sent me scans of about 20 Springsteens.  Kinda rushed but they looked legit.  Many have JSA LOAs.

I just need the first name of his connection. He should be OK with that.  I don't want to give him the name first or he might just lie. But I bet it starts with a 'G' if he is telling the truth.

My friends tell me they have seen Neal around and he seems on the up and up but honestly they don't know much about him other than he uses the dreaded white sheets.

I just talked with Jimmy at JSA and I did find 2 other maccas on EBAY with their cert.  This will be taken care of tomorrow i assure you.  thanks for bringing this to my attention

Yes, the Beatles '65 and Beatles with Tony Sheridan LPs.   Do you mean to say that the certs are not real?

As I also bought two Springsteens with JSA Certs from him and I did check on the JSA website and the numbers matched up.   I have not gotten my refund yet from him for the McCartney so I hope this investigation doesn't jeopardize that.
Keep me in the loop on this!
Thanks
