PSA said their fake, I think their real. What do YOU think?

Hello everyone! I'm a hobby collector, mostly getting stuff off Ebay and Amazon. I try to get autographs with COA's even if their not from PSA or DNA. At least that way you can complain to someone if you found out they were fake.

Anyways, on January 18th I took 3 items to get authenticated at a Promo Card show down in Westchester county, New York. I paid $105 and submitted a magazine with a Mila Kunis auto, a photo with Christian Bale and Anne Hathaway autos, and a photo with Vin Diesel and PAUL WALKER autos. All 3 were bought off Ebay, but the silver lining is that the F and F one is still under buyer protection, so I've been able to get a full refund for my purchase price!

I submitted them and all 3 didn't pass authentication. It took them 4 hours. I'm writing to share with you guys the story and get your guy's opinion on the autos. They're really part of my personal collection, I'm a huge fan of both the TDK Trilogy and Fast and Furious (all 7 ha ha). And Mila is simply hot. That is all.

So long story short, did PSA get it wrong?... I wanted to put the pics up and let the public give me a consensus. I've done my own research too, comparing the autos and I think they are real, but feel free to take a look!

Anyone else have stories similar to this? Do you guys think that JSA may be a better authenticator for ENTERTAINMENT memorabilia? Thanks for reading guys! This is my first post!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am far from an expert on any actor autographs for the most part, but i have collected a few Bale autographs over the years, and the Bale doesnt look like what i am used to seeing. If this is an authentic Bale, it is the neatest one i have ever seen. Personally i doubt its authentic, but others will be able to tell for sure

I have a nice Bale from around American Psycho time, which is neater and contains more characters... but it doesn't look like that at all. However, the Hathaway is the biggest giveaway on that photo... it doesn't even come close.

PSA made the right call on Kunis too.

I don't know the other guy's sigs enough to comment on them.

I agree with Carl. I would also like to add that I prefer PSA over JSA for authenticating entertainment memorabilia.

I have given my opinion on the Nolan Batman item( I refuse to call it TDK trilogy because Batman Begins was a good movie. It tends to get little credit). Not authentic.

I have had great experiences with both PSA and JSA.

I went to a JSA show which Larry Studebaker was running. He was Spence's right hand man before he moved on. I'm not sure where he went. He definitely knew his stuff when it came to many different fields.

The only items he did not authenticate on the spot were a couple music items( a GNR signed Appetite CD cover and an Aerosmith signed album.) This was most likely to send pics to Roger. Everything checked out of course because I ask Roger about everything just to make sure I'm not missing something.

This one guy had 5 Neil Armstrong photos with Autopen signatures. It was so obvious and he did not do his homework. He must have wasted close to $1k. But Larry, although known for sports, was able to spot it immediately.

PSA is definitely who I would go to for historical and entertainment memorabilia. They know their stuff when it comes to vintage items and modern entertainment. I've sent many items to them and the only one that came back unauthenticated was a Stan Lee smudged photo. It was an "unable to render an opinion" and I got my money back.

PSA quick opinion is a waste however. That's my only complaint. Come here and don't waste your money on quick opinion. Members here usually give correct quick advice with much knowledge instead of an email saying "likely not authentic" with no explanation.

G'day Paul,

I'm afraid that I would have to agree with PSA regarding the Mila Kunis autograph - the formation, shaping and sizing are unlike any I've seen from her. I've just done a couple of quick close-up scans of two signatures from Mila that I got and I'll just leave you to compare and decide. exemplars. These signatures from Mila date from July 2011 and August 2012 respectively. Hope that helps and all the best, David
