Puig/Jeter/Sports Forgeries eBay seller polishguy12 NOW bennyboycambell2012

Here is a "kitchen forger" who scribbles on cards and sells them on eBay as "reprints" when in fact they are flat out FORGERIES for PROFIT. This is eBay serller polishguy12 . (eBay seller polishguy12 was shut down, and is now selling under a new account bennyboycampbell2012)

eBay seller polishguy12 scribbles forgeries on all of his cheap cards, and then lists them on eBay for $9.99 saying "Appear to be hand signed, but selling as reprints." These are NOT reprints, these are flat out horrible forgeries..

This moron has sold 15 Jeters this way in the last 30 days...

Ahhhh.... the old "let me say it's "probably" a reprint and let some other greedy vulture buy it thinking he's getting a steal" scam  LOL

The seller is scamming someone out of $10 for a worthless fake, but playing off the greed of the imbecile buyer who thinks he's putting one over on an ignorant seller. The beauty of it is that the seller is totally in the clear because he never stated it was real.

Scammers scamming scammers. Like a snake eating its tail.

Yup. And these are most definitely not "reprints". Reprints are typically copies of signed photos. With cards,a "fake signature" is a facsimile... These are .25 cent cards he's scribbling FORGERIES on.

You can call a bag of heroin "vitamins", but it's still a bag of heroin!

This scammer is still slanging these $10 "Reprints" (which are blatant forgeries)... Has a fresh batch of Eli/Brady and more!

So I dont understand what the issue is here?  If their being sold as re prints and not authentics then why is that bad?  Iv'e seen these on eBay but don't get why it's such a bad thing.  There are over 20,000 autograph re prints on eBay.  Someone help me understand here! haha

Because these are FORGERIES, not "reprints". Not only is it false advertising, it is FRAUD

Where is the false advertising?  Wouldnt that make every other re print on eBay a forgery?

"Jack Johnson", or should I say eBay seller polishguy12, now known as bennyboycampbell2012 , your cards are not REPRINTS they are FORGERIES. Do you not understand the difference between a REPRINT of an AUTHENTIC signature, and a FORGERY? (You scribbling an athletes name on a .25 card to then scam someone for $10)????

Hi Jack, No - a re-print is a stated COPY (produced by scanning, photo-copying or whatever) of a signed photo. The "signature" on the re-print is part of the photo or card.

That is completely different from someone who takes a photo or card and then grabs a sharpie and scribbles a fake signature on to the item. This latter is forgery and fraud.

The item produced in this matter is NOT a reprint, it is a fake because it is an actual photo or card on to which someone has scribbled a signature.

Now - the plot thickens when they list these items as "re-prints" rather than "original" autographs. As I understand things at the moment eBay will and sometimes (perhaps not as much as we would like) does remove fakes from the original autograph categories BUT eBay does not appear to take any action against items listed as re-prints - whether they are copies of legitimate signatures or shocking forgeries. So, these bandits put this garbage in this category and con unsuspecting people and eBay takes no action - and they know that!!

I hope I am making sense.

Finally - an illustration - if I take one of my signed photos of, say, golfing legend Ben Hogan send it to a photo-lab for duplicating that becomes a legitimate re-print that I can sell as such on eBay. As long as I don't break any copyright rules pertaining to the image then that is fine.

However, if I take an unsigned photo of Mr Hogan, scribble a signature on it and then list that as a re-print .... that is NOT legal ... it's not a reprint .... it's a fake and I would be guilty of fraud..

Hope that helps and all the best, David.

These are not reprints..............idiot.

BTW eBay seller polishguy12 was shutdown, and he now has started a new account the eBay ID is bennyboycampbell2012

Here is a link to these FORGERIES being pawned off as "reprints".

Again, I dont understand how this isn't different from the 20,000 re prints on eBay.
